Important client conversations and useful market signals often end up in different chats. Local Insights gives agents and developers a closed professional feed inside MLS RealtyHub where a local request, project update, offer or event can become visible to other platform users working in the same District.

Give a Local Signal a Proper Place

A private message is useful when you already know whom to contact. It is less useful when you need relevant professionals in your area to notice a request. Forwarding the same message through several chats creates repetition, separates the update from its context and makes it harder to return to later.

Local Insights turns that scattered task into a simple workflow. A user creates a professional post, assigns it to a prepared category and publishes it to the internal community feed. MLS RealtyHub then makes the post available to platform users in the author's District. The result is a local information layer built for real estate work rather than a public consumer audience.

Who Uses the Feed and When

The primary user is an agent who has a market-relevant update but does not have one obvious recipient. A buyer may be looking for an uncommon property, a new offer may deserve professional attention, or a local event may matter to colleagues. Instead of deciding which chat to try first, the agent can place the signal in Local Insights.

Developers and their teams can use the same feed for project news, project updates and events. The common condition is simple: the information is relevant to professionals in the local District and belongs in a shared professional space, not in a private client conversation or on a public marketplace.

What You Need Before Publishing

The workflow starts with an MLS RealtyHub user and a clear professional update. Authors choose one of the prepared Local Insights categories, and their posts are shown to platform users in the author's District.

  1. New Project
  2. Project Updates
  3. Heads Up
  4. Events
  5. Collaborations
  6. Client is Looking
  7. Property Offer

These categories give the post a practical context. They help distinguish a buyer request from a project announcement or an offer without turning Local Insights into a second property catalogue.

How the Local Insights Workflow Works

The interaction loop is short, but each step has a distinct purpose.

  1. Identify the signal. Decide what other professionals need to know: a client requirement, property offer, collaboration request, project update or event.
  2. Choose the relevant category. The category explains the type of post before another user reads the details.
  3. Publish the post. The user creates and publishes the information.
  4. Let the platform place it in the local feed. After publication, the post becomes part of the internal Local Insights view for users in the author's District.
  5. Continue from the appropriate view. The author can return to their own posts, while users can keep useful posts in the Saved Posts area for later reference.

This division matters. The user decides what to publish and how to categorise it. MLS RealtyHub provides the internal feed and the connected views. Publishing a post does not guarantee attention or automatically select a commercial match.

Three Views Keep the Information Usable

Local Insights is supported by related working views rather than one undifferentiated stream. The general feed shows posts and updates from other MLS RealtyHub users. My Posts gives an author a place to work with their own publications. Saved Posts lets a user bookmark posts published by themselves or by others and return to them later.

Together, these views support three different actions: discover a local signal, manage what you have published and retain what may matter later. This is more useful than repeatedly searching old chat threads because the information remains connected to a professional post and its category.

A Typical Agent Workflow

Consider an agent whose client is looking for a rare property type in the agent's District. The agent has already clarified the requirement, but the right opportunity is not obvious. Sending the same request to several private chats would require choosing recipients in advance and repeating the message.

The agent opens the posting area, creates a Client is Looking post and publishes it. The request then appears as a professional signal in Local Insights for users in that District. Colleagues can encounter the request in the shared feed, and the agent can return to the publication through My Posts. Local Insights does not complete a transaction or set cooperation terms; it gives the request a defined place where the relevant local professional audience can see it.

A Short Developer Scenario

A developer's team can use the same mechanism for a New Project, Project Updates or Events post. The team publishes the update once in the professional feed instead of repeating the same announcement across unrelated chats. Users in the District can then see it as part of their local professional information flow.

The output is visibility inside the MLS RealtyHub community, not consumer advertising. Public promotion, listing syndication and external marketplace distribution are separate tasks from a Local Insights post.

When the Feed Is the Right Tool

Use Local Insights when the intended audience is a local professional community and the information fits one of the post categories. It is particularly relevant when you need to surface a request or update beyond your existing one-to-one conversations without publishing it to a consumer channel.

Choose another working surface when the task is different:

  1. Use a private communication channel for a direct conversation with a known person.
  2. Use NETWORK when the intended audience is the agent's selected professional connections.
  3. Use MARKET for work centred on the broader professional property catalogue and co-broking context.
  4. Use the relevant publishing tools when the goal is external consumer distribution.

Where Local Insights Fits in MLS RealtyHub

Local Insights belongs to the Communications and Professional Collaboration module. That module contains two related but different modes of work: direct conversations and the internal professional community feed. A conversation carries a message between identified participants. Local Insights exposes a local market signal to the District community.

The distinction between COMMUNITY and NETWORK is equally important. NETWORK is the agent's chosen circle of professional connections. COMMUNITY, represented here by Local Insights, is the local professional feed. A post may reveal a reason to collaborate, but the feed itself does not make MLS RealtyHub a broker, intermediary or party to any resulting transaction.

Practical Boundaries

Local Insights and its publishing categories are live. Its scope is narrower than a public social network or an automated matching service.

  1. Posts are for MLS RealtyHub platform users, not a public B2C readership.
  2. Posts are shown within the author's District.
  3. Publication does not guarantee that a post will be seen or receive a response.
  4. A post can surface a professional signal, but it does not establish commission terms, client registration, a deal or a legal obligation.
